Dear Parents and Carers
We are hopeful that many parents will be able to attend tomorrow’s Exhibition commencing at 2.00pm. For those families who are new to our school this will be an opportunity for our students to display and explain an artefact which relates to a unit of work their class has just completed.
Please come along and join in the excitement as our children share their work with each other and their families.
Mother’s Day Breakfast
Next Friday, May 12th breakfast will be served from 7.30am in our Junior Playground. This event is to recognise and celebrate all mothers and grandmothers in our school community. Breakfast will consist of an egg and bacon roll with gluten free options also available. A coffee cart has also been hired for the morning. Breakfast will be complimentary for all mothers and their children.
If you are able to assist with cooking, setting up, cleaning up, or serving please email me on graham.pollard@cg.catholic.edu.au before next Friday.
Open Days
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter we are now commencing the 2024 enrolment period. Whilst most of our focus will be the establishment of the 2024 Kindergarten cohort, the period is also open to prospective enrolments for Years 1 to 6 as well.
I would be grateful if you could pass the dates and times of our Open Days (included in this newsletter) to any prospective enrolments. Similarly, if you are considering enrolling the siblings of your children it is not too early to begin that process.
Staffing
As mentioned last term, Mrs Mariana Rollgejser will be leaving our school at the end of Week Three to commence a new position in the Public Service. I would like to thank Mariana for her contribution to our school over the past two years in our Front Office.
I am sure you will join with me in wishing her every success in her new career.
May God bless you and your families this week.

Dear Parents and Carers,
Inquiry Exhibition Friday 5 May
We can’t wait to show off our learning! We warmly invite parents, carers and families to our Inquiry Exhibition this Friday 5 May. Our Exhibition this term is a celebration of our learning and teaching in Science. Students will present their inquiry journey and speak to visitors about their learning.
Kindergarten: We live in a world with changing seasons and weather.
Year 1: Over time, living things adapt in order to survive and thrive
Year 2: Earth is a part of an interconnected system.
Year 3: Knowledge about and connection to living things and their life cycles assists us to understand and care for them.
Year 4: Living things are impacted by their roles and interactions with each other.
Year 5: Adaptations help living things to survive and thrive in their environment.
Year 6: Living things are affected by the physical conditions of their environment.
Classrooms will be open from 2.00pm to 2.45pm and entry is through the Front Office. You are encouraged to maintain social distance wherever possible, and to stay home if you’re not feeling well. Parents are welcome to take their children home after their visit.
