Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back, I hope you had an opportunity to share some time with your children during the past two weeks. We were certainly blessed with beautiful weather during the past week.
Thank you for your efforts to dress your children in their full Winter Uniform this week. I thought the children looked wonderful yesterday morning, a credit to their families.
I well recall the comments of a Year Six student last year who told me that she disliked uniform free days. When I questioned her further, she said that wearing a uniform each day meant there was no competition or judgement amongst her friends. Children who are Primary school age genuinely want to be a member of the school community by wearing the full uniform. Thankyou for supporting your child to do this.
ThinkuKnow and Kenny Koala
Kenny Koala, an initiative of the Australian Federal Police, will visit our Kindergarten classes this Thursday afternoon. Kenny’s theme will be Staying Safe.
Children in Years 3, 4 and 5 will attend a session of the highly regarded ThinkuKnow program this week. The program which is, once again, presented by the Australian Federal Police focusses on the need for Cyber Safe practices. Our current Year Six participated in the program last year.
I have included a link to the website https://www.thinkuknow.org.au/ which will provide you with further information about this program and its benefits to our children.
St Francis Xavier
This Friday our Year Six cohort will attend St Francis Xavier for their Open Day.

We can’t wait to show off our learning! We warmly invite parents, carers and families to our Inquiry Exhibition on Friday 5 May (Week 2). Our Exhibition this term is a celebration of our learning and teaching in Science. Students will present their inquiry journey and speak to visitors about their learning. Classrooms will be open from 2.00pm to 2.45pm and entry is through the Front Office. You are encouraged to maintain social distance wherever possible, and to stay home if you’re not feeling well. Parents are welcome to take their children home after their visit.
