Dear Parents and Carers
What a busy week!
The children have been involved in a huge variety of tasks and experiences this week, here is a snapshot:
Monday: A Maths incursion was held in our school hall for children in Years 2 to 6. They had fabulous fun, especially during the Great Maths Race around the school.
Tuesday: Our Monthly Class Awards were presented to children who had been nominated by their Class Teachers. Congratulations to all our award winners.
Wednesday: A group of Year Six children acted as tour guides for the first of our Open Days. Some students then spoke at an Information Night on the topic, “What I like about St Matthew’s”. As you can imagine they were excellent!
Thursday: All children participated in our School Cross Country which was held in the Greenbelt areas around the school. Congratulations to everyone who participated to the best of their ability.
Friday: Mother’s Day breakfast for our families will be served in the Junior Playground from 7:30am until 8:30am. There will be a coffee van available on the day for Mum's to purchase their coffee. The Mother's Day stall will be held during the morning session of school and will be an opportunity for your child to select a gift for Mum. As in previous years, the gifts will be $5 each and are supplied by the Community Council. This year payments will only be taken via QKR! and close Friday 12 May.
Thankyou
Thank you for your attendance in such huge numbers at last Friday’s Exhibition. It was lovely to see so many parents and grandparents supporting their child/grandchild’s learning.
The teachers appreciated the very positive feedback from our visitors.
