Dear Parents and Carers
Fathers’ Day Activities
Once again, our school will be hosting a Father’s Day Breakfast on the morning of Friday September 1st. This event is open to all fathers, grandfathers, and their families.
Please keep the date free, our capacity in recent times to hold social functions has been restricted due to COVID and our ongoing building works. This will be an opportunity to reconnect with our community.
Breakfast will be served from 7.30am and will consist of egg and bacon rolls, with gluten free options and coffee.
To avoid our building works, breakfast will be served on the Senior Playground at the Church end of our building.
We will require the help of our parents to assist with the cooking and serving on the day. If you can help, please email your name to our Front Office at office.stmatts@cg.catholic.edu.au
A group of parents has also agreed to run our Fathers’ Day shop following the Breakfast. More details regarding this initiative will follow in the weeks ahead.
Dismissal Procedure
We have decided to move our dismissal point each afternoon from the hall to the Junior Playground. The hall congestion was preventing our After School Care Program from setting up their resources on time.
Wet weather dismissal will continue to operate from our hall.
Hats On
Just a reminder that all children should once again be wearing their school hats at Recess and Lunch. If a child forgets to bring their hat they will be asked to play in the shade.
National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence
Tomorrow our children will participate in the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. Age-appropriate activities will form the basis of discussions and activities in all classrooms.
May God bless you and your families.
