Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back. I hope you enjoyed a restful break with your family. The children appeared to be very happy to be back amongst their friends on Tuesday morning. I was particularly impressed with our Kindergarten children who, despite the longer than normal break, recommenced their learning without the slightest hesitation.
As we begin to draw closer to the colder months could I gently remind parents to make every effort to keep children at home if they appear unwell. Not surprisingly our absentee rate last year amongst staff and students was dramatically lower than normal. That was due in no small way to parent’s efforts to comply with COVID regulations. Thankyou in anticipation for your support this term.
Staffing
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Mrs Sharee Thomas (Year One teacher and Religious Education Coordinator) and Mrs Marianna Rollgejser (Front Office). I hope both ladies enjoy the opportunity to work at our school. Please take time to introduce yourself if you have the opportunity.
Cross Country and Colour Run
I hope the information note you received via email this week helped to clarify the events surrounding tomorrow’s carnivals. We are anticipating a very exciting day for our children with a mix of serious and fun running throughout the day.
Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed by assisting with the marshalling or by sponsoring your child.
Sincere Condolences
I would like pass on the condolences of our community to the Phillips family whose husband and father, Jason passed away over the holidays. Please continue to keep Kay, Connor and Jess in your prayers.
Confirmation Candidates
Every best wish to our Year Six children who will be introduced at Parish masses this weekend. This event marks the first step in their journey as they begin their preparation to receive the sacrament of Confirmation later this term.
