Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you are enjoying the Spring weather. The children are appreciating the opportunity to use our oval after many weeks of wet weather.
As we are approach the final weeks of Term Three, you will note that we are finishing the term with a flourish as we host our 50th Anniversary celebration for children (see note below).
Thank you to those parents who have generously offered to make cupcakes for our students. We are certain the children will have a most enjoyable day.
This will be the final celebration of our school’s special year. The celebrations have included our Anniversary Mass, last week’s dinner, and the construction of a Commemorative Wall.
Thank you to all members of our community who have helped us celebrate such an important milestone in our school’s short history. The children will bring home a special keepsake to mark the occasion.
Public Holiday
As you may be aware next Thursday September 22nd has been gazetted as a Public Holiday to commemorate the passing of Queen Elizabeth. There will be no school on this day.
Coffee Van
A coffee van will be on site next Friday morning. It will be located in the top carpark. Treat yourself to a coffee to end the school term.
Michael Mangan Concert
Yesterday renowned composer, teacher and liturgist, Michael Mangan performed for children in our Parish Church.
Michael has worked as a specialist music teacher, composing over 250 pieces which are widely used in Liturgy and Religious Education programmes in schools and parishes throughout Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. His compositions are known for their "singability" and suitability for liturgical celebrations, especially with children.
May God bless you and your families.
