Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Kinder Orientation
We were so excited to welcome our 2023 Kindergarten students and their families to our school yesterday. While the students experienced a fun morning with new friends, their parents and carers attended an information session…and made new friends, too! If you are a parent who is new to our school, and have any questions, please direct them to the school office: 6254 2653.

Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day Picnic 25 November
Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day Picnic will be tomorrow’s big event. Entry is through the Kindergarten/ Year 1 playground gate, and grandparents are asked to bring something to eat that they can share with their grandchildren. We look forward to welcoming our family members to the school grounds. If your child doesn’t have a Grandparent attending, they’ll be welcome to eat their own lunch with another family, with a staff member, or with their friends.

Advent Liturgy 1 December
Our Advent Liturgy will be led by our Year 2 students and will take place next Thursday 1 December at 9.30am in the Church. Families are welcome to attend and participate in this special liturgy. Please stay home if you feel unwell and remember to maintain physical distancing where possible.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday 28 November, Tuesday 29 November, and Wednesday 30 November.

These conferences are an opportunity for you to discuss with the class teacher/s your child’s progress at school, and you are strongly encouraged to attend. With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place at school. Please do not attend if you are unwell, or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms; in this case, contact the classroom teacher to arrange a telephone conference.

Only one, 10-minute interview time is available for each child. Unfortunately, space is at a premium at the moment, and we won’t be able to offer babysitting this year.

Bookings will close tomorrow, Friday 25 November, at 3.00pm.

COVID-19 Smart Measures

Picture1.jpgNSW and ACT Health recently advised that they are starting to see a rise in COVID-19 transmissions within the community, with a peak of cases expected in early December. COVID-smart measures continue to be in place and are vital in allowing us to keep our school operational while prioritising student and staff wellbeing.

These measures include:

  • staying home if unwell and/or showing any symptoms
  • mask-wearing strongly encouraged, particularly when indoors and/or when physical distancing is not possible, and on public transport
  • using rapid antigen tests (RATs) when showing symptoms or exposed to COVID-19
  • encouraging all students, staff, and families to keep up-to-date with their vaccinations, including COVID-19 booster shots if eligible

We thank you for your cooperation and willingness to assist us with these measures.

May God bless all of our families this week.
