Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome or Welcome back

We have enjoyed a very smooth start to the year, thank you to our staff for their efforts to make the transition for our students so seamless. Welcome to our new families we hope your time at our school is particularly rewarding for your children.

Family Gathering

Our Annual Family Gathering will be held on the Junior Playground on Friday February 12th commencing after school and finishing around 5.30 pm.

A (COVID compliant) BBQ will be available and there will be the usual games for the children. Please bring your own drinks, chairs and a picnic blanket.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet or reconnect with our families especially given the lack of contact due to the restrictions on last year’s social events.

Can you let me know if you can assist on the BBQ.

Meet the Teacher

eeee_orig_1024x399.jpg

Once again our school will be hosting Meet the Teacher sessions on the 15th and 16th of February. A letter inviting you to book a meeting with your child’s teacher will be sent early next week. The booking can be activated via Google Docs.

Swimming Carnival

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help at the carnival next Tuesday. We have enough helpers to assist with all of the extra roles required to make the carnival run smoothly. Below is a proposed schedule for the day. We tried our best to make sure that children do not have to swim back to back in events. Please note that this is only a guide. Novelty events will run throughout the day for different age groups.

Some New Routines and OLD Reminders

As COVID restrictions have been relaxed from the beginning of this year I would like to remind you about the arrangements concerning afternoon Pick Up.

All children should be collected in one of three locations:

  1. In person whereby the parent or carer waits for the child at the Junior Playground in the area where children assemble in the morning - via Drive Through (see below)
  2. At the pedestrian crossing on Chewings Street
  • The afternoon procedure mirrors the morning drop off (same location, same rules, with one exception…could we strongly urge you to enter our drop off zone via Chewings Street. This will allow the buses to have an unimpeded route when they arrive at the school via Petterd Street. (See below)

You might like to display your family name on your sun visor to assist with the traffic flow.

I hope to see you at our Family Gathering next week

May God bless you and your families
