Dear Parents and Carers,

It was lovely to see so many of you at last Friday’s Meet and Greet followed by the Welcome BBQ.

Thank you so much to our team of helpers who did such a great job on the BBQ. Those parents who have been at the school for several years would appreciate that the evening provided a different model to previous years.

Please make every effort to return the questionnaire, which was distributed by the classroom teacher. This will provide the teacher with important information about your child. Those parents whose child is currently on a Personalised Plan should complete the details at the bottom of the questionnaire. This will trigger an invitation from the classroom teacher to arrange a Goal Setting meeting with you.

Please let us know what you thought of the new model. We are always seeking feedback.

Dancecore
On Tuesday children in all grades participated in a dance lesson led by an instructor from Dancecore. The children had a fabulous time and danced themselves into a frenzy over the half hour session. The program will run throughout Term One and will comprise the class PE lesson on Tuesdays.

Pick Up
Thank you for your patience and courtesy whilst picking up your child/ren. We find at this time of the year children are still becoming familiar with routines as they grow and develop. If you find that your child struggles to independently get into your car it may be wise to park and collect them personally from the gate. Car lines move quickly, and we don’t want to raise anyone’s stress levels through no fault of the child.

Community Council
Our Council met for the first time this year on Tuesday evening.

The Council meets twice a term on the Tuesday evenings in Weeks Three and Eight. The Council is an important body in our school and deals with a range of tasks including community building initiatives, policy development and financial management.

We thank all parents who contribute their time, energy, and talents to this body.
